Our General English courses cover all language areas in the context of relevant, everyday topics following syllabuses based on the Council of Europe Common Framework for modern languages. By using a variety of communicative activities, pair and group work, our courses will give you the confidence and fluency to communicate effectively in English in a wide range of situations. General English courses develop practical communication skills, with special emphasis on speaking, pronunciation and listening. By learning and practising new language in imaginative and structured lessons, students achieve greater fluency in everyday English, including grammar, vocabulary, colloquial expressions and idioms, while increasing their English vocabulary and giving them confidence with the English language. Students put the knowledge they gain in class to everyday use and make steady progress through each level. Using modern course books and a wide range of our resource materials, students can expect to participate in pair and group work and take on an active role in the classroom. While conventional texts and audio equipment form the basis of the lesson structure, teachers encourage language use through role-play, problem solving and discussions. General English courses are available at all levels from beginner to advanced.
